Virtual Reality Silver Bullet in Space

Imagine strapping into the Silver Bullet at Frontier City for a roller coaster ride. Instead of riding through the Oklahoma air, however, you find yourself flying through an asteroid field in space, circling planets at breakneck speed, and dodging lasers in a space battle.

 

That’s the idea behind Project X, combining a real-life roller coaster with a virtual reality experience that takes the rider out of this world and into a virtual one. Frontier City in Oklahoma City allowed us to use the Silver Bullet coaster to capture the data we need to make this dream come to life.
